HEALTH CARE SPENDING ACCOUNTS
Health Care Spending Accounts (HCSA) are becoming more important to insurers and insureds each day – using Adjudicare makes managing HCSAs even easier. Often referred to as the “ultimate flex plan”, the Adjudicare software lets administrators offer an HCSA either in conjunction with a traditional health and dental care plan or as a stand-alone resource.

Adjudicare allows you to link an HCSA to a traditional plan so that any unpaid amounts under the traditional plan can automatically be reimbursed through the HCSA. This improves the plan member’s overall experience since they receive one payment outlining the portions of their claim covered by both the traditional plan and their HCSA credits.

Adjudicare offers a suite of reports specifically designed for HCSA reporting. The software adjudicates claims seamlessly; submitted claims are automatically checked against HCSAs for faster and more complete reimbursement of funds to the insured.

Adjudicare software can accommodate any plan design as long as they are compliant with the Canada Revenue Agency’s guidelines – IT-529, sections 14 through 18.

Adjudicare software supports the following HCSA functions:

  • Allows for pro-rated funding
  • Manages carry forward of claims
  • Reimburses claims as credits become available, e.g. under a monthly funding model
  • Includes a full suite of reports for both the administrator, plan sponsor and plan member
